What You Should Do to Lock In the Glow
- Load Up on Moisturizer and Sunscreen: Right after the treatment, your skin is perfectly cleansed and primed for hydration. Slather on that moisturizer! Most importantly, never forget sunscreen. Your skin will be a little more sensitive to the sun initially, so go for SPF 50+ to be safe.
- Drink Plenty of Water: Staying hydrated from the inside out helps flush out toxins and keeps your skin plump and moist, enhancing the treatment’s effects.
- Use Gentle Skincare Products: For the first 2-3 days, stick to a gentle cleanser and moisturizer. Avoid products with high concentrations of alcohol or strong fragrances.
What to Avoid for a Few Days
- No Exfoliating or Scrubs: Take a break! The Hydra Facial just gave you a deep exfoliation. You should avoid using products containing acids like AHA, BHA, or Retinols, as well as any physical scrubs, for at least 3-5 days to prevent irritation.
- Avoid Intense Heat and Sun Exposure: For the first 24-48 hours, try to steer clear of saunas, steam rooms, intense workouts that cause heavy sweating, and direct, prolonged sun exposure.
- Pause on Waxing and Laser Treatments: Hold off on any facial waxing or laser treatments for at least 1-2 weeks after your Hydra Facial.
